The Passeport Talent – Salarié en Mission is for transfers within a group of companies and with a local contract in France for more than 90 days, up to four years (renewable).
Détachés Mobilité Intragroupe is for intra-corporate transfers up to 90 days. Seniority of minimum three months within the home company is required. For transfers up to 90 days, this route is expedited.
The Détachés Hors Mobilité Intragroupe process is for applicants remaining on home contract and payroll and providing a temporary service for a company in France. For transfers up to 90 days, this route is expedited.
The Salarié process permits the employment of a foreign national who will be locally hired in France with a contract of indefinite duration. A labour market test must be carried out unless the position is on the Shortage Occupation List. An initial one-year VLS-TS may lead to a four-year residence permit.
The Local Hire – Temporary Workers route permits the local hire of a foreign national for 12 months, renewable up to 18 months maximum. The applicant may change status in France to a long-term local hire (Salarié or Blue Card) if they fulfil the criteria.
The EU Blue Card for highly skilled employees and the EU Intra-Company Transfer Permit (ICT Salarié Detaché) are also available.
A work authorisation exemption may apply to audits and experts in information technology, management, finance, insurance, architecture and engineering.
