The Work and Residence Permit applies to transfers and local hires and can be processed at the relevant consular post or post-arrival in Hungary.
A streamlined Skills in Demand process applies to transfers and local hires from third countries bordering Hungary (Serbia and Ukraine) working in certain occupations.
The EU Intra-Company Transfer Permit is also available.
The Temporary Work Permit applies to transfers from outside the EEA or local hires for up to 90 days.
A work permit may not be required for temporary assignments from outside the EEA for 15 days in any 30-day period, to fulfil contractual obligations (post-sales or warranty) to a Hungarian client company.
