Information

A Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) (valid for up to two years and renewable) is for local hires and requires a labour market decision. For shortage occupations, a labour market decision is not required. For preferred nationals (from Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea or the United States), a labour market decision is not required and the TRP may be issued for up to three years (renewable).

The EU Blue Card for highly skilled employees and the EU Intra-Company Transfer Permit are also available.

A Work Permit, valid for up to one year, requires a national D visa instead of a TRP. For shortage occupations, however, a work permit is not required.

For transfers over 30 days, the employer abroad must submit a posted worker notification. Employers hosting transferees, based on a service contract or an intra-company transfer or as a temporary employee, must submit an LDU notification.
