The temporary residence authorisation for locally hired Highly Qualified Employees under to the Entrepreneurs’ Law requires the Spanish employer to register with the Unidad de Grandes Empresas (UGE) under one of several qualifying criteria. This route applies to managers or specialists with a university degree or relevant work experience
Companies registered with UGE under the Entrepreneurs’ Law criteria can access a simplified procedure to fullfil the requirments for Spain immigration.
Intra-company transfer and service contract fulfilment may also fall under the Entrepreneurs’ Law, but only if the transfer does not qualify for the EU Intra-Company Transfer Permit.
A local hire work permit applies to non-EU nationals employed by smaller companies in Madrid.
