The Skilled Worker visa is for foreign nationals with a job offer, from an approved sponsor, at the appropriate skill level and salary, and the required level of English. After five continuous years of residence this category may lead to settlement.

The salary should be at least £25,600, with slightly lower minimum salary thresholds for PhDs, those working on the shortage occupation list and new entrants.

The Intra-company Transfer visa is for those transferring to their approved employer’s UK branch for up to five years in total, or nine years for senior employees earning £73,900 per year or more. This route does not lead to settlement.

The salary should be at least £41,500. The applicant must have been employed by the sending company for more than 12 months unless they are paid £73,900 per year or more. The job must be on the list of eligible occupations.

The Intra-company Graduate Trainee visa is for those transferring to their approved employer’s UK branch as part of a graduate training programme for a managerial or specialist role. This visa allows a maximum stay in the UK of 12 months.

The salary should be at least £23,000 and the applicant must have been employed by the sending company for a minimum of three months.

The Temporary Work – Government Authorised Exchange visa is for short-term work experience, training or research through an approved exchange scheme, higher education institution, government department or agency. Applicants will be granted a stay of up to 12 or 24 months, depending on the scheme.

Applicants travelling to the United Kingdom to undertake certain business activities for a maximum of six months may do so on Standard Visitor status, either with or without a Standard Visitor Visa, depending on their nationality. Applicants must remain on home contract and payroll throughout the assignment.
